On July 26, Phase II of the CHN Energy Shenwan Chizhou Project undertaken by the Thermal Power Company officially commenced.

This project is a priority project in Anhui Province, and two 660MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units and ancillary facilities will be built. Since entering the construction site, HEPC has accomplished the milestone of pouring the first pot of concrete for the main workshop within only 25 days, winning high recognition from the construction unit and the supervision unit. The project department takes progress as the main line, strengthens process control, anchors the goal of "high-standard start, high-quality construction, and high-level production", and overcomes difficulties such as heavy tasks, excessive rain, the impact of high temperature, as well as humid weather. The project department promoted resource allocation and other aspects and coordinated precisely to ensure the success of established stages promptly.

After the completion of the project, the standard coal consumption of power supply under pure condensing conditions will reach 266 grams per kWh, and the heat consumption of equipment unit will drop to 7015kJ/kWh, which will enhance the comprehensive competitiveness further, reach the best level of traditional coal-fired power generation technology, and accelerate the project to become a world first-class integrated energy demonstration power station with the characteristics of cleanness and efficiency, smart and flexibility.
